
Emily Hayden, LPC-IT
Emily Hayden is a therapist who believes each person is on a unique path, and having support along that journey is essential to finding balance and fulfillment. Her goal is to create a collaborative, non-judgmental space where individuals from all backgrounds feel safe to explore their challenges and work toward meaningful solutions. Emily brings warmth, empathy, and encouragement to her work, valuing honesty and humor to foster a genuine connection with her clients.
Emily works with adults and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, addictions, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress, and life transitions. Her approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, reality therapy, solution-focused techniques, and person-centered care. She also offers holistic options such as meditation and breathwork for clients who are interested in supporting their healing through mind-body integration. Emily believes that awareness, self-compassion, and meaningful choices are essential ingredients for personal growth.
Emily’s therapeutic style is intentional, empowering, and supportive. She believes therapy can be a space to reconnect with your values, gain clarity, and take aligned steps forward. Whatever you may be going through, Emily is committed to walking alongside you with care and curiosity.
EDUCATION
Emily received her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and completed her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. She holds licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor In Training (LPC-IT) in the state of Wisconsin. Emily has completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and maintains regular clinical supervision and professional development to enhance her learning as well as the quality of her work.
EXPERIENCE
Emily’s experience includes individual counseling in an outpatient setting, working closely with adults on a range of mental health and life concerns. Emily is also a yoga instructor and team lead at a local yoga studio, where she teaches weekly classes, leads workshops, and helps with team coordination and communications. She previously served as Client Coordinator at Hillary Counseling, where she facilitated client-therapist matching and supported clinic operations. Earlier in her career, Emily was a research assistant at the Center for Healthy Minds at UW – Madison, contributing to studies on stress, interoception, and mindfulness. Across all roles, she brings a deep commitment to compassionate care, mind-body awareness, and community-centered healing.
