K elly Lang is a strengths-based psychotherapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples create lasting, positive change. She offers a compassionate, judgment-free space where clients can explore life’s complexities and engage in meaningful, transformative work.  

Kelly believes in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship and is deeply committed to building trust through empathy, authenticity, and genuine connection. She creates an environment where clients feel heard, valued, and supported as they navigate challenges and work toward their goals.  

Kelly has a particular passion for working with those experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use, impulsive behaviors, grief and loss, life transitions, and everyday stress. Drawing from evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy  (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing—Kelly tailors her work to meet each client’s unique needs.

EDUCATION 

Kelly earned her Master of Science in Social Work with a focus on mental and behavioral health from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Substance Abuse Counselor In Training (SAC-IT) in the state of Wisconsin. Kelly is committed to professional development opportunities to enhance the quality and depth of her work with clients. 

EXPERIENCE 

Prior to transitioning to outpatient therapy, Kelly worked for a leading organization in the  behavioral health field, providing individual, family, and group counseling services. She has supported clients in inpatient, PHP/IOP, and residential settings, gaining a comprehensive understanding of various treatment environments and the unique needs of diverse client populations. 

Kelly has extensive training in Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Care, which has equipped her with effective strategies for building rapport, facilitating behavior change, and supporting clients in their healing journeys. Her client-centered approach focuses on empowering individuals to achieve lasting, positive outcomes in their mental health and overall well-being.
