Emily Slominski is a psychotherapist who is passionate about helping clients discover their most meaningful life. She will strives to help you recognize and utilize your strengths to achieve goals. Emily has a genuine, empathetic, and direct approach where she creates a space that you can show up as your authentic self. 

Emily works with adults and couples, focusing on a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship issues, identity development, perfectionism and low self-worth. She has a passion for working with highly driven individuals and professionals to overcome challenges and reach their highest potential.

Based on individual needs and preferences, Emily utilizes various evidence-based therapy treatment methods in her work with clients. She has a holistic, integrative approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  

Emily is truly honored to walk alongside her clients. She views her work with gratitude and feels privileged to hear each and every person’s story.

EDUCATION

Emily completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Grand Valley State University.  She pursued her Master’s of Social Work, MSW, at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and holds licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW, in the states of Wisconsin and Illinois. 

EXPERIENCE

In graduate school, Emily specialized in school social work and started her career as a School Social Worker. After that, she spent three years in the medical field as a Physician’s Recruiter before working toward her clinical license. After obtaining her clinical license, Emily worked as a Lead Therapist at Rogers Behavioral Health.  

Emily is happy to be devoting her career towards a clinical focus which she finds most rewarding. Her diverse and unique experience has helped Emily better empathize and relate to the people she works with.
